Southeast Electric Donates To Local Food Banks

Southeast Electric Cooperative is always looking at ways to give back to the community.

In July, Southeast Electric Board voted to donate over 1500 pounds of fresh beef and pork to area food banks. Each year Southeast purchases a market animal to help support the local 4-H.

This year they decided to take it one step further by purchasing two market steers and a market pig.

They then split the meat three ways and donated it to the Carter County Food Bank, the Powder River Food Bank and the Fallon County Food Bank. All three entities were excited to add fresh beef and pork to their freezers.
