Mary had a little lamb…or maybe it was three baby calves. “We couldn’t find three of our baby calves; I got 27,000 steps one evening looking for them,” explained Mary Rumph, Biddle Calving Crew member. And sure enough, they eventually came home wagging their tails behind them.

Steps for Charity continues through this last week of February and all of March. Team members continue to walk everywhere.

“I enjoy walking the path to the river the most,” explained Pat Smith, Team Granny Steppers.

Granny Steppers are walking for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. In addition to Pat Smith, Team members are Karen Gunther, Lula May Bruce and Ginger Johnstone. St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is a leading children's hospital. St. Jude treats the toughest childhood cancers and pediatric diseases and families never receive a bill from St. Jude, not for treatment, travel, housing nor food.

“St. V’s STEPS UP for our small community and a lot of us at our local bank have received assistance from them during times of hardship, i.e. accidents, children hospital stays and hospital stays in general!” Broadus St. Vincent De Paul was chosen by Worst Pace Scenarios. Team members are Stephanie Bowers, Jessica Mullanix, Amanda Zimmer and Greg Jepperson, a group sponsored by their employer, Yellowstone Bank.

The Special K Ranch was chosen by the CornerStore Clippers. Team members are Echo Jones, David Stanley, Joey Hopkins and Shannon Lucas and is sponsored by the Broadus CornerStore. Echo chose the team because her uncle once worked for Special K. He is retired now, but still mechanics for them. The Special K Ranch provides family-oriented homes on a working ranch for adults who have developmental disabilities.
