The filing deadline for the upcoming primary is coming up on March 11th. Two local election positions are open, and the incumbents for those positions have filed for election; Lee Randall for County Commissioner and Vanna Byrd for Clerk of District Court.

Precinct Committee positions are also open in Coalwood, Ashland, Broadus North and South, and the Town of Broadus.

The primary will take place June 4th, and the general election will be held November 5th.
