Broadus High School Students Excel At Music Festival

Broadus High School music students attended District Music Festival in Miles City on April 19 - 20, 2024.

Every Student that participated in a solo or ensemble made it to the State Music Festival, which will be held May 3-4 in Billings, MT. The High School Band received superior on performance and sight reading, and will go on to state. The Choir students received a two on performance and a one on sight singing. Performances scoring one go on to state, while twos are rated as excellent, but do not go on to state.

Instrumental Solos: Zoe Page (clarinet), Maggie Mader (trumpet), Reuben Kinzer (trumpet), Kensi Emmons (flute), Archer Edwards (alto saxophone), Justin Aye (flute), Talyn Conley, (tenor saxophone), Riley Mitchell (baritone saxophone), Talyn Conley (bass clarinet)

Instrumental Trio: Zach Jones, Becca Aye, Riley Mitchel (alto and baritone saxophone)

Students were accompanied by Lisa Gaskill, Kim Blain, and Lisa Lynch

The music department would like to thank Ernie Reaves and Donna Giacometto for the safe trips, the music parents who support the music department and those that came to watch. Special thanks to Kelda Page for going on food runs when we can't leave the school, so we can eat!

Spring Concert for H.S. and J.H. will be April 30th 6:30 at p.m., with a bake sale to follow. You will hear several pieces from music festival. Please join us for a night of superior music! Mark your calendar for Elementary Concert, May 14 at 6:00p.m., with a bake sale to follow.
