  • Scramble 4 a Cure Draws 144 Golfers

    By Tyler Gardner We had a great two days of golf at the 16th annual Scramble 4 a Cure. 18 teams played each day, with 144 golfers supporting our fundraising efforts! The tournament grossed $27,000, the most money we have ever raised in two days. It is very humbling to have all the loyal support over 16 years. Since August of 2019 we have sent money to 32 individuals in our Southeastern Montana communities for a total of $38,400. The financial contribution of $1200 per individual helps with added...

    A dedication ceremony for the Powder River Memorial Cemetery took place last Saturday. The cemetery honors fifteen US soldiers who died along the Powder River in early September, 1865, during the Powder River Expedition.     July 31, 2020 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Mike Riley today announced that Powder River County is authorized for emergency haying and grazing use of Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acres outside of the Primary Nesting Season.
