Broadus Hawk football made another long drive to Northeast Montana last weekend, to face the 1-2 Culbertson Cowboys. Broadus went into the game sharing the same record, looking to even out their record at 2-2. Broadus Head Coach Ross Randall told us that he led off with a trick play, featuring a snap to Cooper Zimmer, who tossed the ball to QB Wyatt Gee, who in turn threw to Wideout Solomon Bradley, who ran the ball 54 yards before he was brought down at the 3-yard line. The play would prove to...

  • Lady Hawks Beat Terry, Plevna

    Sep 24, 2020

The Broadus Lady Hawks had a long but successful stretch of volleyball last week, playing in three matches in five days. On September 15th, Broadus hosted Belle Fourche, for a non-conference match. Belle Fourche would be the equivalent of a Class A school in Montana, so the Lady Hawks might have easily felt outmatched. That was not the case, according to Broadus Head Coach Gordon Archer: "We gained a lot of confidence as the night went on, and by the third game we were playing right with them. B...

  • Letters To The Editor

    Sep 24, 2020

O’Donnell a No Show at PSC Meetings Being elected to represent the interest of the people of District 2 before the Montana Public Service Commission is a serious job. Tony O’Donnell, the incumbent representative, prefers to “phone it in” rather than put in the time and effort for effective representation. Although he started his term in 2017 with attendance at PSC meetings slightly over 80% he apparently lost interest in the position, attending only 66% of the meetings in 2018, 52% in 2019, and with an abysmal attendance rate of 25% in pre-COV...
