Kids tee off at Junior Golf Tournament

Players and coaches from the Broadus Junior Golf program are pictured above with their medals and trophies, following last weekend's Inaugural Junior Golf Tournament. The kids spent the summer honing their skills, and put those skills to the test at the tournament.

The Inaugural Rolling Hills Junior Golf tournament was held last weekend, put on by Chad and Cynde Jo Gatlin, along with Pete Wenzel. The tournament, which featured 24 players between ages 6 and 15, followed a season of Friday practices. For many of these young golfers, this was their first year of picking up a club. Pete Wenzel said the progression of some of the golfers over the season was quite amazing, noting that they really picked up and learned the game quickly.
