"Christmas in Whoville" is Stroll Theme

December 5, 2019

The Broadus Christmas Stroll will take place on Friday, December 6th.

The event, sponsored by the Powder River Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, is a long time tradition in Broadus, kicking off the Christmas season and bringing folks together from across the area to share in the holiday spirit.

The theme this year is “Christmas in Whoville” inspired by the Dr. Seuss classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Here are some of the major activities taking place this year.

Get Your Ticket to Who-ville - As you’re shopping locally, grab your ticket and get it punched at local retailers following a qualified purchase for a chance to win the grand prize valued at $200! Turn in your ticket by 7pm on the night of the Stroll at the Christmas Mailbox at Gardner & Billing CPAs.

Punch your ticket at the following businesses: Alderman Oil, Bella Si, Broadus Boot & Tack, Broadus IGA, Copp’s Hardware, Jane’s Weathered Antiques, Powder River Petals, Silver Sage Clothing, St. Vincent’s, The Daisy Patch, and Western Chick.

A Button Dash will take place again this year. Purchase a button for $5 up until noon on Dec 6th, then from 2-7pm during the stroll, dash into local businesses to match the secret number and find out if you’re a prize winner! All prizes must be claimed by (or by someone accompanied by) an adult. Buy your buttons at Broadus IGA, Broadus Boot & Tack, Silver Sage, Powder River Petals or Western Chick. Twenty three prizes will be available.
