Alvin Parker Redrobe

At the age of 31 our beloved Alvin Parker Ma'kehoomahe (Red Robe), born on November 21st 1989, has gone on to Seyin (To heaven in Cheyenne) Mahaoo called him home on October 5th, 2021.

Alvin went to St. Labre for daycare and kindergarten, Ashland Public from 2nd to 5th, St. Labre again for 6th & 7th grades then finished school at Broadus, from grades 8th grade through 12th but refused the graduation ceremony seeing it as a waste of money. In junior high, Alvin played football until a hand injury killed a bone in his wrist and ended his sports career, but he still continued to support the teams and go to the games. In high school he was very sociable and well liked. He enjoyed Home Ec. and developed a lifelong passion for cooking and enjoyed learning how to make traditional foods, from his Grandma Suzy at the Heritage Center.

Alvin never missed a Sundance in his 31 years of life. Helping put up the centerpole brought him tremendous joy and honor. Alvin cared very much about the Sioux/ Cheyenne Little Big Horn Ride and the Riders, which he participated in for 25 years. He also loved being a runner for the people at camps and along rides. One of Alvin's hobbies he was very passionate about and very skilled at was his standing in his Fortnite (game) and streaming community. They have even created a go fund me for Alvin's wife and girls. He was loved, respected and created a whole lot of great friends whom he shared his life with and every single one of them honor his memory, where he will never be forgotten. Another passion of Alvin's was playing pool; he was real good at it too. Alvin was very compassionate, caring, and giving to all those and everyone in his life and even strangers.

He never hesitated to help and showed everyone he met with kindness and respect. He had zero tolerance for bullying and harassment of anyone he cared about and even others that he did not know. In his youth he was an AAU wrestler. He was never aggressively competitive and enjoyed the friendships made and he enjoyed all the places it took him. He met the love of his life on April 2019, Tianna, with whom he was blessed with a beautiful family. Alvin was such a loving father to his baby girls Samara Ezri and Casey Crystal, Maddy, Macy, and son/nephew Derious. He was a very loving father. His greatest joy was his girls, there was nothing he wouldn't do for them, he was in no doubt their favorite person in the world. He was a genuine, gentle, loving, kind, honest, hard working, spiritual, compassionate person and a perfect example of what a man should be. He was a one of a kind son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, to more than just his relatives and a friend to all that had the honor to meet him or come across his mind. Everyone was important to him there was so many people in his life he cared for and that cared for him – he saw the good in everybody.
