"What was old is new again...Marty Davis, lead singer of The Legend of the Pioneers, started out singing Classic Country Music. He still does sometimes. But much more than that, Marty and his band take the audiences on a nostalgic trip through time. From high-spirited yodel tunes to fast-paced gospel medleys and everything in between. He tells stories of the Old West, of the Silver Screen era and of the cowpokes still riding the rodeo or the range. He pays tribute to Western Swing greats like Bob Wills and Grand Ole Opry stars such as Marty Robbins and Faron Young and, once in a while, some good ol' Rock and Roll from the days when he sang bass & traveled the world with the legendary Fifties group, The Diamonds (22 million records sold, Little Darlin')."

The School Community Development Council invites everyone to The Legend of the Pioneers concert on Thursday, April 20th, at 7:00 pm. Come and meet the band and have some appetizers at 6:00. The concert will take place at the Broadus High School Auditorium.

“We wanted to provide the community with some great entertainment,” said Karen Amende, SCDC board member. “And we thought this would be a fun and different event for families to enjoy”.

Tickets are $15/person and can be purchased by going online to http://www.prscdc.com or contacting Kelda Page, 406-853-0620, Ann Emmons, Doug Wilbert, Rich Sparks, Melissa Billing, or Jim Hansen.

Tickets can also be purchased the night of the concert.

The School Community Development Council (SCDC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is an arm of the Powder River Community Endowment Fund. This fund is part of the Montana Community Foundation network of endowments, established in communities across the State of Montana.

The SCDC seeks and administers these endowments and other special gifts and bequests for the community. This allows local community organizations to carry out existing projects, to implement new activities and to respond effectively to the challenges and changes impacting the community both now and in the future.
